2023 is not going to be a great year for the London motorist with the widening of the London's Ultra-low Emission Zone being expanded to cover all of Greater London. At £12.50 per day motorists not complying with ULEZ standards.
If you are considering buying a new car it's definetely worth a check to see if the vehicle complies. TFL do have a checker available that's free to use, click here to open in a new window.
There are no barriers or toll booths. Cameras read vehicle number plates driven through the zone, which are checked against TFL's database to see if they meet ULEZ emission standards. The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year (except Christmas Day) to help clean up London's air. Even if you make a short trip inside the zone using a vehicle that doesn't meet the ULEZ emissions standards, you need to pay the £12.50 daily charge. This includes residents of the ULEZ.
At CarsVansandBikes.com we automatically check vehicles being listed for sale on our platform which you can easily check here for ULEZ compliant cars, vans or motorbikes.
29 August 2023 is the date the ULEZ is being expanded.
