Nissan's ARIYA Coupes Join Glenmorangie's Electric Fleet Revolution

In a significant step towards sustainable motoring, Nissan has recently bolstered The Glenmorangie Company's transition to electric vehicles. The world-renowned whisky distillery has incorporated two of Nissan’s all-electric ARIYA coupe crossovers into its extensive fleet of pool cars.

Glenmorangie's Green Shift

The Glenmorangie Company, with its rich 200-year history in whisky distilling, operates across various locations in Scotland, including its eminent distillery in Tain, Ross-shire, and its bottling hall in Livingston, West Lothian. Recognizing the need for an environmentally friendly approach, the company has embraced the shift to electric vehicles (EVs) as part of their broader sustainability initiatives.

Why ARIYA?

Glenmorangie’s selection of the Nissan ARIYA is a testament to the vehicle’s impressive blend of quality and reliability. The decision was influenced by staff preference, who expressed confidence in the Nissan brand based on prior experiences. The ARIYA, known for its award-winning design and performance, emerged as a staff favorite for the company’s future EV endeavors.

A Comprehensive Approach to Sustainability

Sandy Fraser, Estates and Workplace, Employee Experience Manager at The Glenmorangie Company, highlighted the comprehensive review of their vehicle policies. “Our goal was to streamline our fleet operations while enhancing our sustainability efforts. Transitioning to EVs with the help of Athlon as our single provider and investing in necessary infrastructure was a key part of this strategy,” he explained.

Strategic EV Deployment

One of the ARIYAs will be stationed at the Ardbeg distillery on the Isle of Islay, Argyll and Bute, enhancing mobility between the company’s sites. The other will be based at the Livingston bottling hall, which has recently undergone a multimillion-pound renovation including the installation of several EV charging points.

Nissan’s Role in Glenmorangie’s Eco-friendly Journey

Karen Reid, National Corporate Sales Manager at Nissan Fleet Sales, praised Glenmorangie's efforts towards decarbonization. “We are thrilled to partner with Glenmorangie as they integrate EVs into their fleet. Their commitment to reducing carbon emissions is commendable, and we look forward to a long and fruitful association,” she said.

The ARIYA: A Symbol of Clean Mobility

With a maximum range of 329 miles and rapid-charging capabilities, the Nissan ARIYA is not just a car; it’s a symbol of Nissan’s dedication to a greener future. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the journey towards sustainable corporate practices, with Glenmorangie and Nissan leading the charge.
