Classic Cars Wha Hae in view of Wallace on 8th May

Classic Car Show, Sunday 8th May 2022, Bridge of Allan

Overlooked by the stunning Wallace Monument and in view of the iconic Stirling Castle, the Stirling & District Classic Car Club’s annual show will take place for the first time since 2019, on Sunday 8th May, with the gates open to the public at 10:30am. The show is staged at the Games Park, Bridge of Allan (near Stirling) and has been an ever-growing event since inception in 2005. Over 500 vehicles have registered to attend, including a wide variety of car clubs. To date the club has donated over £95,000 from show proceeds to 45 local charities, and we hope to be able to support one or more charities again this year. There will be a very wide range of vehicles on display, including commercials, motorcycles and modern classics., along with the usual trade stands and autojumbles.

The Club has over 80 members of all ages and you do not even have to have a vehicle.  Nor are you restricted to a particular age, type or make – and you certainly don’t need to know anything about how they work - the Club members range from total novices through to time-served mechanics and engineers.  Our members have a wide variety of vehicles - from Veteran right up to the present day; British and foreign; concourse examples to restoration projects.  Members enjoy regular meetings, classic car shows, Club e-newsletter, runs and visits.  Most importantly they get to share knowledge, experience and advice with a new group of friends with similar interests.   The Club meets fortnightly at 7.30pm on a Tuesday at the Birds & Bees, Causewayhead.

History of the annual show

The club was formed in 2000 and their first show for charity took place in 2005. There has been a show in May each year until 2020 and 2021, these being cancelled due to COVID.

All our shows have been staged at the Strathallan Games Park, Bridge of Allan and have been an ever-growing event since inception. The 2019 show had over 800 vehicles registered to attend which included 52 different car clubs.

To date the club have donated show proceeds totalling over £95,000 to 45 local charities, a random sample are listed below. Some of the names you will recognise, some you won't.
