Polestar picks up two prestige awards

Polestar, the performance electric car company part-owned by Volvo, has been celebrating after picking up two prestigious awards. The Swedish marque took home Car Design of the Year at the Geneva Auto Show and was also named best overall brand by Auto Trader UK. Polestar's success comes on the back of record orders for its new all-electric 2 model - 32,000 already ordered in 2022 already!

When it comes to car design, there are some brands that always seem to reign supreme. Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Audi – these companies have a long history of producing aesthetically pleasing and innovative vehicles. This week, however, a new name has been added to the list of top automakers: Polestar.

Earlier this week, both the Car Design Award and Auto Trader’s prestigious awards were presented to Polestar on the back of record orders for its 1 model. The Car Design Award is voted for by an international jury of 60 top designers, while Auto Trader’s award is based on public opinion. With models like the 1 and 2 making such a big impression on consumers and experts alike, it looks like the Polestar marque is here to stay.

The Polestar 2 is available in the UK in three models:

Standard range Single motor starting at £43,150

Long rangeSingle motor starting at £46,450

Long rangeDual motor starting at £49,550
